For a century and more, naturalists have been warning of our need to take better care of our environment. For decades climate scientists have been warning us about the coming effects and dangers of man-made global warming. For years both NASA and the PENTAGON have been warning us about the arrival of climate change and it's risks.  Now, even the pope -leader of the world's largest religious following, has proclaimed in the highest-profile way possible that it is time for an "ecological conversion" of the faithful.

So what more can it take to get everyone involved in "ecological conversion"?

"The great majority" of extinct species disappear today because of our exploitation of them as mere "resources".  “Each year sees the disappearance of thousands of plant and animal species which we will never know, which our children will never see, because they have been lost forever,” he writes, "We have no such right".

Ten paragraphs speak directly to "Loss of Biodiversity", or species extinction.
